Broker's Comments
Here we have a 45 foot narrow boat with a steel hull and a timber part sheathed topsides.
The last survey from 2019 gives satisfactory steel thicknesses and conforms the hull bottom had been fully re-plated. Her lister air cooled 2 cylinder diesel engine appears to start readily.
She has a large cruiser stern layout and has been fitted out in a unique manner that is quite charming. As you enter the aft companionway there is storage to port and the engine start controls. To starboard you will find some electrical items and the full size cooker with work top cover.
Edging forward there is a full size fridge freezer and each side there are real wood live-edge work tops with open basket storage below. These really do look very nice on the eye and give the boat some very nice character. Midships there is the saloon area with double leather sofa and tv etc, and a small solid fuel stove (it should be noted the stove is cracked and should be viewed as needing to be replaced). Moving froward is the unusual shower and heads area with a new still boxed Porta Pottie and the shower and wash basin. Storage ahead and hanging space lead into the full size double in the forward end of the boat.
The boat has obviously had a unique fit out at some time with unusual materials like galvanised corrugated steel and many other materials but it does actually work and looks s very characterful.
She has her Broads toll paid to March 2027 and has a valid Boat Safety Certificate - dates tbc.
She was blacked and painted in 2025 for that season.
There is a Webasto water heater for heating the hot water.
The Lister engine started well but it should be noted that the pull stop cable is not effective and manually stopping the motor is currently required. The stop/decompression levers do need to be replaced as they have been snapped off, however enough remains to allow the engine to be stopped.
This will make a spacious and cheap floating home that would be very nice indeed with a little improvement and or refit work as suits the new owner and is offered at a very reasonable price.
