Boatshed Norfolk is pleased to be able to exclusively offer for sale, this large ex-hire Ideal 45 river cruiser.
Off hire just 2 years ago she was bought and the owner has not been back to her since purchasing and now the boat yard has repossessed her for sale to cover the outstanding yard costs owed to them. Thus she is for sale after the TOTS notice process is completed, and is being sold at huge discount to what these normally sell for to recover the owed monies.
She was fully serviced for the new owner two years ago and has not been run or used since then. She started well for my listing with just the alternator not charging which could just be dead domestic batteries as the alternator looks new and was charging fine at the time of sale two years back.
She has been updated with full shore power fitted to all cabins with immersion heater and battery charger all fitted. She was surveyed a couple of years ago when purchased and all items it picked up were addressed and she was freshly antifouled at that time. The survey is not available due to the TORTS repossession.
This is a great opportunity to obtain a large, spacious, tidy and well equipped boat. This is one of the larger Broads cruisers offering 6 separate cabins and comfortable accommodation for 10-12 people. There are 3 toilets all electric flush, 3 showers, a very large sociable saloon and a smaller aft dinette.
This boat has had full shore power fitted to every cabin with battery charger and hot water immersion system.
She boasts a modern Nanni diesel engine with shaft drive.
The boat appears to be in a well presented condition and offers huge external space on the aft deck and additional forward deck.
She is in need of a good external clean having just sat for two years but the inside is a light and clean and appears all good. There is a very small piece of floor about 12 inches by 18 that is soft but this is a simple and cheap fix and the boatyard would be able to do this for you at cost.
This is last Ideal 45 boat on the Broads currently for sale from the hire fleet so when it's gone it's gone, there will be no more. They do not come up for sale very often and are rare on the private market. This will make great large family river cruiser or an amazing live-aboard home.
She has two Eberspacher diesel warm air heating systems and an inverter fitted with changeover system.
The boat had a current BSS when sold and the current status of this is not known but should easily pass a fresh inspection for such.
